Jennifer Istre, DNP, APRN, FNP-C has a unique background. She started out with her bachelors in Biological Engineering from Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers). She then attended University of Maryland in Baltimore for a nursing bridge program, where she completed her masters. In 2009 she commissioned in the Army Nurse Corps, where she proudly served she country (not to mention she served in the Navy also prior to attending LSU). After leaving the Army she decided to further her career as a nurse practitioner and completed her studies at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.  Jennifer recently graduated with her doctorate from University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (Hook 'em Horns).  Beyond her credentials as a registered family nurse practitioner, Certified by IAPAM in Weight Loss Medication and Diet Plans. Certified by NIOSH in Spirometry.
